The A-Line
The A-line is the most universally flattering silhouette in bridal fashion - and there's a reason it's been a classic for decades. Fitted through the bodice and waist, it gradually flares out into a skirt that sits away from the body, creating a soft "A" shape from shoulder to hem.
It works across almost every body type, moves beautifully, and has a quiet elegance that photographs well in any setting - garden, vineyard, heritage venue, beach, the list goes on! If you're genuinely unsure where to start, an A-line is a wonderful first gown to try on as a reference point.

The Fit-and-Flare / Trumpet
Similar to a fitted gown through the body, but with a flare that begins lower down - usually at or below the knee - the fit-and-flare (sometimes called a trumpet) strikes a balance between structured and dramatic. It's figure-hugging until it isn't, and the flare creates a gorgeous train effect without the volume of a full ball gown skirt.
