A Relaxed 90-Minute Appointment

You’ll be greeted by your personal bridal stylist with a glass of bubbles to set the tone for the appointment ahead. It’s a chance to take a breath, settle in and enjoy this exciting part of your wedding journey before stepping into gowns, exploring different styles and picturing what your wedding day could look like.

Your 90-minute session is designed to give you time to relax, get to know your stylist and explore a range of wedding gowns without feeling rushed. You’ll have the freedom to pick out and try on different wedding dress styles and accessories, discover what feels right and enjoy the experience along the way.

Getting to Know You

While enjoying your bubbles, your stylist will take the time to get to know you, your wedding and what you’re hoping to find.

You might chat about:

• Your wedding date or timeframe

• Your venue and overall wedding style

• Any silhouettes, fabrics or details you’re naturally drawn to

• Your budget comfort zone

• How you want to feel in your wedding gown

• Who you’ve brought along to share the appointment with you

This isn’t a test, and you certainly don’t need to arrive knowing all the bridal terminology.

A few screenshots, a rough idea of your wedding style, a Pinterest board or even a list of things you don’t like can all be helpful. Sometimes knowing what you don’t want is just as valuable as knowing what you do.

At ABC, there’s no pressure to have it all figured out before you walk through the door. Your appointment is a chance to explore, have fun and discover the gown that makes you feel completely yourself.

A Private, Personal Experience

Your appointment takes place in one of our private bridal spaces at our Adelaide Bridal Boutique in Gilberton. Giving you the freedom to focus on the experience and share the moment with the people you’ve chosen to bring along.

Our beautiful old church building adds another layer of charm to the experience. With its character and history, it provides a setting that feels intimate, considered and a little bit magical - the perfect backdrop for such an important moment.

Trying On the Wedding Gowns

And then comes the part you’ve been waiting for - trying on the gowns.

When it’s time to step into a wedding gown, you can choose the level of assistance that feels most comfortable for you.

If you’d prefer complete privacy while changing, you’re welcome to step into the change room and put the gown on yourself. Your stylist will then assist with pinning and adjusting the gown when you’re ready.

If you’d rather have your stylist there to assist you while getting into the gown, we’re more than happy to stay with you throughout the process.

Our change rooms also have mirrors, giving you the opportunity to have that first private moment with the gown before stepping out to your guests.

Sometimes that quiet moment in front of the mirror tells you a lot.

How do you feel? Do you love the way the gown moves? Can you picture yourself walking down the aisle in it?

There’s no pressure to have an answer straight away.

Making the Gown Fit You

The gowns you try on are samples, so they won’t necessarily fit perfectly straight from the rack - and that’s completely normal.

Your stylist will use pins to carefully adjust the gown, giving you a better idea of how it will look when fitted to your body. This helps you and your guests see the silhouette and proportions of the gown more accurately.

It’s all about helping you envision the finished look rather than worrying about the sample size.

Your Feedback Matters

As you step out to see your guests, your stylist will be there to guide the conversation while also paying attention to your cues.

We’ll ask what you think and encourage you to share how you’re feeling about each gown. You may instantly know that something isn’t for you, or you might need a little more time to work out what you love.

There’s no pressure to choose a gown because someone else loves it. Your stylist is there to listen to you, read your cues and help you find what feels right for you.

And yes, we allow photography during your appointment. If you want to capture a few moments, compare gowns later or simply have photos to look back on, you’re welcome to do so.

Keeping Track of Your Favourites

As you try on different gowns, we’ll keep track of the ones that stand out to you.

Towards the end of your appointment, we can revisit your favourites and compare how each one makes you feel. This is often when the picture starts to come together.

Then comes one of our favourite parts - trying your chosen gown again with a veil.

Adding a veil can completely transform the look and can be the moment when everything suddenly feels real. It gives you the opportunity to see the full bridal picture and imagine how you might feel walking down the aisle.
