How It Started
Kayla and Ben's love story started somewhere slightly unexpected.... behind the DJ booth. Ben was spinning at a nightclub Kayla frequently visited, and on one particularly memorable night, a little liquid confidence led Kayla to sneak up behind the booth and give him a cheeky pinch. She has absolutely no memory of doing it. Ben, however, does and clearly didn't mind. The rest, as they say, is history.
The Proposal
For his birthday, Ben took Kayla to Molly Dooker Wines and unbeknownst to her, he'd arranged for their closest friends and family to be there too. He had always told her it would happen when she least expected it, and he was true to his word. Surrounded by everyone they loved, Ben got down on one knee and made it official.
Their Special Day
Kayla and Ben's vision for their wedding was classic yet modern, a combination that came to life beautifully at the stunning Golding Wines. From the florals to the styling, every detail felt elevated and intentional, while still feeling warm and personal.
If there was one moment that encapsulated the entire day, it was the aisle walk. As Kayla made her way towards Ben, she was met with audible gasps from every corner of the room, and at the end of the aisle, her husband-to-be stood grinning from ear to ear.
"If I had to pick one moment, I think walking down the aisle and seeing my husband grinning from ear to ear and hearing all of the audible gasps from our friends and family was it." - Kayla
The Wedding Dress

Kayla chose the gorgeous MWL Raine gown, a dress that, by her own admission, she never would have picked off the rack herself.
Stepping so far outside her comfort zone was what made the moment she tried it on all the more special. The second it was on, Kayla burst into tears. She just knew.
Paired with a MWL veil, Billini shoes, and a pair of pearl earrings gifted to her by Ben before they were married, Kayla's bridal look was everything, classic, romantic, and deeply personal.
"I never thought it was possible to look and feel so beautiful in a dress. It was totally outside of my comfort zone and not what I wanted at all but the second I tried it on, I burst into tears and knew it was the one. I truly felt like a princess." - Kayla
Getting dressed on the morning of the wedding brought a whole new wave of emotion.

"I felt like the most beautiful woman in the entire world. It was a very emotional morning and there were lots of tears." - Kayla
Kayla's ABC Experience
"Just so incredibly positive. The girls are so welcoming, friendly, professional and just unbelievably patient. They make you feel like they genuinely care about you walking away with your dream dress and not pushing you to settle for anything less." - Kayla
"I was the most indecisive bride and was so confused after having been to so many other bridal shops. I just didn't feel like I was being pushed, she really listened to me, but also encouraged me to go outside of my comfort zone. I'm so glad she did, because I ended up finding the dress of my dreams." - Kayla
Advice for Future #ABCBrides
Kayla's advice is simple but something we hear from so many of our brides and it never gets old.
"Keep an open mind and don't be afraid to go outside of your comfort zone. You have no idea whether that dress you couldn't picture yourself in may be the one." - Kayla
